CAD Drafter (Towson Office)

A CAD drafter with civil experience. CAD Drafter will prepare site construction drawings at the direction of the design staff to include:  concept, development and zoning plans; layout, grading, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, road, water, sewer, drain landscape and forest conservation construction drawings. This is a learning position where the technician will mostly be working on red-lined drawings.  Minimum Requirements:  High School Diploma, CAD Certification or 2 year CAD Degree, AutoCAD training.  Previous work experience in preparation of site construction drawings is an advantage.

Civil Engineer (Towson Office)

This is an outstanding opportunity for civil engineers who are looking to grow. DMW is seeking civil engineers with at least 4 years of experience in land development engineering and design projects including Residential, Commercial, Institutional and Industrial.  Responsibilities include the production and processing of private and public engineering site design,  oversee CAD Production of plan sets and project specifications, and provide direction to CAD staff and designers.

Minimum requirements:

  • BS in civil engineering or equivalent;
  • Professional Engineer Licensure;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D;
  • Knowledge of latest MD Standards for Soil Erosion, and Sediment Control and MD Stormwater Management regulations, latest MD Department of the Environment SWM Design Manual, TR-55, TR-20, HEC-RAS computer models;
  • Ability to self-manage design tasks, budgets and deadlines.

Civil Engineering Project Manager (Towson Office)

This is an opportunity for a project manager who is looking to grow.  We are seeking a civil engineer with at least 5 years of in design related to land development, civil engineering and project management for design projects including Residential, Commercial, Institutional and Industrial.  Candidates must be willing to take on project management responsibilities and run land development projects.  Responsibilities will include daily management/operations/coordination and overall integration of technical project activities, leads quality assurance and plan checking procedures, supervises and directs daily staff/project work, and assists in project strategy with negotiations in order to move project forward.

Minimum requirements:

  • BS in civil engineering or equivalent;
  • Professional Engineer license;
  • Basic CAD software experience and Civil 3D software knowledge;
  • Basic business and financial acumen with budgeting and design experience.

Survey/Engineering Technician (Frederick Office)

DMW’s Frederick Office is seeking a survey/engineering technician with AutoCAD experience in the preparation of various land development and municipal engineering projects.  Office duties will include assistance in the development of survey drawings, site plans and construction drawings, preparing a variety of survey products, surveying computations, and assistance to the field crew during data acquisition.  This position requires a high school diploma and strong math skills.  Certification and/or 2 year degree or its equivalent with 5+ years of experience in the civil/survey field is preferred.  Experience with AutoCAD is a must.  This is a learning position where the technician will be working on a variety of projects.  Previous work experience in the preparation of survey tasks and/or civil engineering drawings is an advantage.

Survey Field Technician (Towson Office)

DMW is hiring for the roles of Land Survey Instrument Operator for those with experience performing Land Surveying tasks. The applicant will assist with the daily operations of a survey field crew. Responsibilities include all tasks associated with the performance of boundary, topographic, control, and construction layout surveys. The position is full-time with the possibility of advancement into a Party Chief role. Requirements include familiarity with operating conventional total stations, electronic data collectors, automatic levels and GPS equipment.  Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation is a plus.
